Egg pakora is a snack or a starter just deep fried with the boiled eggs coated with the besan batter. Halve the egg bonda sprinkle red chilli powder and serve hot pakora with onions and lemon wedges. This spicy egg bonda is one of the best iftar recipes. Egg fritters are also known as egg bonda, egg pakora, egg bajji or egg pakora

To prepare egg bajji the first step is to boil eggs and the second step is to make matter, the third step is to dip the boiled eggs into the batter and finally, the last step is to deep fry the batter coated eggs till they turn golden. Serve hot egg bonda with green chutney or tomato sauce or onions.

Ingredients
Ingredients for egg pakora:
For boiling:
  • eggs – 4
  • salt – 1/4 spoon
  • Water – 1 glass(as required)
For making batter:
  • chickpea flour(besan) – 1 1/2 cup
  • crushed cumin & coriander powder – 1/4 spoon(optional)
  • ajwain(vamu, carom seeds) – 1/2 spoon
  • turmeric powder – 1/4 spoon
  • red chilli powder – 1/2 spoon
  • salt – 1/2 spoon( as required)
  • water – 1/4 cup(or as required)
  • baking soda – 3 pinches
For deep frying:
  • oil – 2 cups (for deep frying)
For garnish:
  • oniion – 1
  • red chilli powder – 1/4 spoon
Instructions
Procedure for egg pakora or egg bonda recipe:
Boiling eggs:
  1. Add eggs, water and salt to the pan boil on the medium flame till the water dried completely.

  2. Let it cool for a minute remove the skin and set aside.

Preparing batter:
  1. Take a bowl to add chickpea flour(besan).

  2. Add crushed cumin and coriander powder. This is optional.

  3. Add ajwain, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt.

  4. Mix well all the spices.

  5. Gradually add water and make the batter.

  6. Add baking soda mix well.

  7. The batter should be in an average consistency.

Dip the eggs into the batter and deep fry:
  1. Dip the eggs into the besan batter.

  2. Place the batter coated eggs into the heated oil.

  3. The oil should be heated at high flame and reduced to medium flame.

  4. Fry on both sides till they turn golden.

  5. Remove from oil take the egg pakoras into the tissue.

Garnish and serve egg pakora:
  1. Take into the serving plate.

  2. Halve the egg pakora sprinkle red chilli powder.

  3. Serve hot egg pakora with onion, lemon or tomato sauce.

Step by step procedure for egg pakora or egg bonda recipe:

Boiling eggs:
