Semiya kheer is a quick Indian dessert prepared on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr as a break fast recipe. The specialty of this delicious semiya kheer recipe is i have mixed some sabudana to give a rich taste to the kheer.

Ingredients for semiya kheer
  1. ghee – 1 spoon
  2. cashew nuts – 1/2 cup
  3. raisins – 1/4 cup
  4. coconut pieces – 1/4 cup
  5. halved almonds – 6
  6. chopped dry dates – 3
  7. semiya – 1 cup
  8. sabudana – 3/4 cup
  9. sugar – 1cup
  10. milk – 1 1/2 glass
  11. water – 4 glass
Procedure for semiya kheer
Frying semiya
  1. Heat a pan over medium flame add a spoon of ghee.
  2. Add cashew nuts, raisins, almonds, coconut pieces and dry dates.
  3. Fry until they turn to golden colour and set aside.
  4. In the same pan fry semiya till it turn to golden and set aside.
Cooking semiya
  1. Pour water let it boil. Add sabudana mix well. Cook until it become soft.
  2. Add fried semiya stir well. Cook for 2 minutes.
  3. Add cardamon stir well. Cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Add a cup of sugar stir well until the sugar dissolves completely.
Pouring milk
  1. Pour 1 1/2 glass of milk mix well.
  2. Add fried dry fruits and stir well.
  3. Switch off the fire. Take into a bowl.
Garnishing semiya kheer
  1. Garnish with fried cashew nuts, almonds, raisins, coconut pieces and dry dates.
  2. Serve semiya kheer cool or hot at any time.

Step by step procedure for semiya kheer:
