Shahi chicken recipe is most famous and serves in many dishes. This spicy masala chicken is very delicious. I have used coconut paste, chicken masala and garam masala powder to give rich taste to shahi chicken.

Ingredients for shahi chicken recipe
  1. Skinless chicken – 1/2 kg
  2. ginger & garlic paste – 3 spoons
  3. coconut paste – 1/2 cup
  4. chopped onions – 2
  5. chopped tomatoes – 2
  6. chopped green chillies – 2
  7. chopped coriander leaves – 1 cup
  8. water – 1 glass
  9. salt – 2 spoons
  10. oil – 1/4 cup
Spice powders
  1. red chilli powder – 1 spoon
  2. turmeric powder – 1/4 spoon
  3. garam masala powder – 1 spoon
  4. chicken masala powder – 1 spoon
Dry spices
  1. cardamon – 3
  2. cinnamon – 2
  3. cloves – 6
Procedure for shahi chicken recipe
Frying spices
  1. Heat a pan add oil, cloves, cinnamon, cardamom, chopped onions and green chillies fry for a minute.
  2. Add ginger and garlic paste, coconut paste mix well. Fry until the raw smell disappears.
  3. Add salt, turmeric, red chilli, garam masala and chicken masala powders mix well. Fry for a minute.
  4. Add chopped coriander leaves and tomatoes. cook until the tomatoes become mushy.
Cooking chicken
  1. Add chicken pieces mix well. Fry until the chicken absorbs all the spices.
  2. Pour a glass of water. Cook for 5 minutes till the chicken become soft.
  3. Shahi chicken recipe is ready. Take into a bowl.
Garnishing
  1. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve as a side dish for biryani or main dish. Can also serve with chapati, pulka or naan.
