A healthy breakfast recipe mixed with ghee, fried nuts, raisins, grated coconut, poppy seeds and little sugar with cooked semiya.

Ingredients for choba semiya

For preparing choba

  • ghee – 1 spoon
  • finely chopped cashew nuts – 9
  • finely chopped almonds – 9
  • finely chopped dry dates – 3
  • raisins draksha – 17
  • grated dry coconut – 2 spoons
  • poppy seeds khus khus – 1/4 spoon(gasagasalu)

For cooking semiya

  • semiya – 1 cup
  • water – 2 1/2 glass

For garnish

  • ghee – 1 spoon
  • sugar – 4 spoons
  • choba mixture – 1 cup

Instructions

Procedure for choba semiya

Preparing choba

  1. Heat a pan over medium flame add ghee.
  2. Add finely chopped cashew nuts, almonds, dry dates and raisins.
  3. Fry until they turn to golden brown.
  4. Add grated coconut and poppy seeds give a mix.
  5. Switch off the flame. take the choba into a bowl set aside.

Cooking semiya

  1. Pour 2 1/2 glass of water in the same pan.
  2. Add semiya into the boiled water mix well.
  3. Cook for 2 minutes till the semiya become soft.
  4. Carefully check the semiya consistency it should be dry.
  5. Drain the water in semiya with the help of stainless steel strainer.

For dressing

  1. Take a serving plate apply ghee on it.
  2. Place cooked semiya into the plate.
  3. Sprinkle 3 spoons of choba mixture and sugar.
  4. Serve hot choba semiya as a breakfast or at any time.

Recipe Notes

Carefully cook semiya for less time. It should be dry.
By cooking for more time our semiya will become wet which totally changes the taste of the recipe.
