The most famous and healthy Indian dessert. gajar halwa with the delicious taste. The grated carrot cooked in full cream milk, melting sugar, garnish with fried dry fruits and serve warm or chilled carrot halwa recipe.
Heat a pan over a medium flame add 3 spoons of ghee.
Add cashew nuts, coconut pieces and dry dates.
Fry till they turn a golden brown colour and set aside.
Add 2 spoons of ghee in the same pan and add grated carrot.
Mix well and close the lid and fry for the 5 mins.
Add boiled full cream milk or milkmaid to the pan.
Add fried Cashew nuts, crushed cardamoms, coconut pieces and dry dates mix well close the lid.
Let it cook for the next 10 mins over a low flame until the carrot becomes soft and absorbed the milk completely.
Add a bowl of sugar mix well.
Close the lid and cook until the sugar dissolves completely and the halwa thickens.
The delicious gajar halwa or carrot halwa is ready to be served.
Serve warm or chilled halwa.
