Pot chicken is quick and a different way of cooking chicken curry. Instant one pot chicken is an unique taste recipe, can easily prepare by just frying all the spices along with chicken, better goes with rice, roti, chapati.
Heat a pot on medium flame add a spoon of ghee and 3 spoons of oil.
Add 2 chopped onions and 2 slit green chillies.
Stir and fry for a minute.
Add a spoon of ginger and garlic paste.
Fry till the raw smell disappears.
Add 2 chopped tomatoes stir well.
Close the lid and fry till the tomatoes turn mushy.
Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt, garam masala powder.
Stir well and fry for a minute two.
Add cleaned and drained chicken pieces.
Stir well and fry until the chicken absorbs masala.
Close the lid and cook till chicken becomes soft.
Add a handful of chopped coriander leaves stir well.
If necessary add 1/4 glass of water and cook till the chicken becomes soft.
Take into a bowl and serve with rice, roti or chapati.
If you are preparing first time in a clay pot and your pot is new then.
Apply oil to the new pot or soak in rinsed rice water one day before using.
By directly placing new pot on the fire, our curry will burn and stick to the pot.
