Semiya kesari is a very quick dessert with simple ingredients and taste wonderful.Try Ramadan special semiya recipes. This is one of the dry semiya recipe with out milk. To prepare this recipe in less time just fallow few steps.

Ingredients for semiya kesari
  1. ghee – 1 spoon
  2. cashew nuts – 1/4 cup
  3. almonds – 16
  4. raisins – 1/4 cup
  5. semiya – 1 cup
  6. water – 2 cups
  7. lemon yellow colour – 3 pinches
  8. sugar – 3/4 cup
Procedure for semiya kesari
Frying dry fruits and semiya
  1. Heat a pan add ghee, chopped cashew nuts, almonds and raisins.
  2. Fry until it turns golden and set aside.
  3. Add semiya to the same pan fry until it turns to golden and set aside.
Cooking semiya
  1. Pour water let it boil. Add fried semiya and lemon yellow food colour mix well.
  2. Close the lid and let it cook for a minute.
  3. Open the lid stir well add sugar.
  4. Mix well until the sugar dissolves completely.
  5. Cook till the semiya gets to semi dry consistency.
  6. Add fried almonds, cashew nuts and raisins mix well.
  7. Switch off the fire. Semiya kesari is ready to serve.
  8. Garnish with almonds, cashew nuts and raisins and serve.

We can easily prepare semiya kesari in three steps. The first step is to fry all the dry fruits, semiya, the second step is to boil water, and finally third step is to add fried semiya,  dry fruits, sugar and cook till it semiya turns dry consistency.

Pour  2 cups of water let it boil.

Add fried semiya mix well.

Add lemon yellow food colour mix well.

Close the lid and let it cook for a minute.

Open the lid stir well add sugar.
Mix well until the sugar dissolves completely.

Add fried almonds, cashew nuts and raisins mix well.

Cook till the semiya gets to semi dry consistency.

Switch off the fire. Semiya kesari is ready to serve.Garnish with almonds, cashew nuts and raisins and serve.
